Alacran Surf / Surf Costa Rica sent us a group of guys from Michael O'Neill's Preferred Real Estate Investments in Pennsylvania and a couple of their associates for a 3-day charter. (Don't you wish you had a boss who understands the team-building benefits of a surf trip???) We picked up all 12 on the beach on Oct 25th and immediately headed out to Ollie's for an afternoon session with nobody else in the water. Due to the size of the group we were teamed up with Blue Dolphin Sailing's "Blue Dolphin Too" sailboat, whose crew provided dinner for the entire group after they worked up an appetite from hours of surf. (Thanks, Capt. Carlos and Rene!) The next day we shared the waves with only 3 other people who showed up in the late morning. Even the novice surfers of the group did well. Day three started with fresh-caught Mahi Mahi for breakfast (prepared by "chef extraordinaire" Capt. Juan Carlos) while en route to Witch's Rock, where we again had every wave to ourselves before heading back to port.
